Lauren Zoe Hernandez (born June 9th, 2000) is an American artistic gymnast. In her first year as a senior gymnast, she was on the U.S. women ?Ts team in gymnastics. The team competition resulted in the U.S. win gold. In the individual events, Hernandez earned the silver medal on the balance beam. In the latter part of 2018 Hernandez began her training again and expressed an interest in returning to U.S. women ?Ts gymtic for the Tokyo Olympics in 2020. Hernandez did not make the cut for Olympic Gymnastics Trials. Hernandez was the winner of the 2016 Dancing with the Stars competition with her partner Val Chmerkovskiy. Hernandez was the host of the first season of American Ninja Warrior Junior as the on-course reporter and starred in the role of Valeria in the Nickelodeon animated mini-series Middle School Moguls. Hernandez is the author of I Got This: To Gold and Beyond (New York Times Bestseller) and She's Got This (Kids Book).
