Harry Edward Styles is an English singer, songwriter and musician. He was part of One Direction. The son of Des Styles (father) and Anne Cox, Harry Styles was born on January 1, 1994, in Holmes Chapel. Harry Styles attended the Holmes Chapel Comprehensive school where along with three fellow students, he formed his musical group, White Eskimo. Following their victory in the Battle of Bands 2009 thanks to their outstanding performance, they were also a part of the Battle of Bands in the 2010 Battle of Bands. While he's always attracted to the arts, he interested in becoming an lawyer or physical therapist. In order to support the family he took some time in a bakery. Harry Styles was selected for The X Factor 2010 audition during which he performed the Stevie Wonder's track Is not She Lovely. Due to this, his band needed to be separated. Nicole Scherzinger, the jury participant on The X Factor suggested Harry Styles be part of a group called One Direction with Liam Payne Zayn Mlik Niall Horan Louis Tomlinson and Liam Payne. Simon Cowell sponsored this five-person group, and they created in the year 2010. The group sang the Kelly Clarkson song My Life Would Be Sucky without You and Bonnie Tyler's Total Eclipse of the Heart at the time of the contest. This made them one of the frontrunners to win the contest. They came third place, just behind Rebecca Ferguson. Harry Styles' group didn't take home the prize, however Cowell did pay two million dollars to One Direction for them to make a deal with Syco.
