Kelly Clarkson, an American singer-songwriter and actress who won the American Idol competition in its debut season, and became America's Sweetheart. The singer was not just ushered into stardom by her win and announcing an agreement to record multiple albums with RCA Records 19 Recordings & S Records. Since then she has recorded numerous studio albums, including three which topped the US Billboard 200' chart while the other albums narrowly missed the coveted spot. She's among the most popular stars to come out from American Idol. She began to experiment with themes and songs after her fame increased. Her uniqueness and vocal abilities earned her critical praise, as well as several important award. She's been honored with the Grammy Award 3 times. Alongside her career in music, she has been featured in movies as well as television programs. She also wrote the kids' storybook River Rose and the Magical Lullaby and has been involved with a number of charities.
