Taylor
Taylor Swift has become a rare pop phenomenon: A star who strayed completely from the world of country music to pop culture and became the pop icon of the future that will last forever and conquering all of the world. Swift is shedding her roots in the country as if she was shedding skins for second purposes and has proven herself to be one of the most savvy pop singer/songwriter of her time. She has the ability to harness the current zeitgeist and make it her own. Swift's early tracks like the Neotribute in tribute to Tim McGraw were a testament to her talent. However, her second album Fearless in 2008 showcased a songwriter finding her voice, and also a larger public. Fearless became a worldwide hit, not only in the United States (where it received six times platinum for the Top Ten Hits Love Story as well as "You Belong with Me") as well as in Canada Australia, the U.K. and many other countries. The Swift's Speak Now album released two years ago consolidated her previous success, and catapulted Swift into the spotlight. In the following three years, Swift's popularity was growing -three times - Red (2012), Reputation (2014), and 1989 (2014-2015) -- as Swift entered the realm of pop where her talents were already well-established. In the end, when she refocused her music with the stripped-down releases of 2020, Folklore, and Evermore but she was still at the top. This position was maintained by re-recordings from her past catalog, as along with Midnights, her synth-heavy chart-topping 2022 album.
