Taylor
Taylor Swift has become a uncommon pop sensation: A celebrity who has strayed from the world of country music to pop culture, turning into an iconic pop star that is set to endure forever, and sweeping over all of the world. Swift shed the country influences in the sense that they had been added as an extra layer of skin and revealed she was among the best singers/songwriters of her generation. Swift could make the event personal and use the moment to benefit. The skills she displayed were apparent on her first hits, particularly the neo-tribute Tim McGraw but her second album 2008's Fearless showcased a songwriter discovering the person she really was, and, in doing so, gaining the mass market. Fearless had a great success not only in the United States, having six platinum-certified singles. The Top Ten songs Love Story & the hit song You Belong with Me were the most important reasons. However, it did well all over the world. Swift managed to build upon her popularity with Speak Now almost two year later. She grew in popularity throughout the three albums that followed - Red (2012), 1989 (2014) and Reputation (2017). Swift became a household name within the genre she was a part of. When she reduced her sound to the stripped-down versions of 2020, Folklore, and Evermore, she still remained on top. This position was maintained by re-recordings from her past catalogue as in Midnights which was her chart-topping synth heavy 2022 album.
